Eliza Wade

Counsellor, Psychotherapist

"I understand how daunting therapy can be, we are all humans with big hearts and big emotions trying to do our best, combining kindness and science can achieve life-changing insights and results!"

Eliza believes that the complexity of nature and nurture that make up the human species can often lead to feeling misunderstood or helpless. Through nurtured support and professional insight into how we process subjective experiences and cognitions, Eliza provides a holistic approach to empower her clients to reconnect with themselves.

Eliza provides evidence-based interventions and psycho-education to help clients understand themselves as well as coping tools and strategies tailored to their unique needs.

Areas of Expertise

Anxiety, depression, self-esteem and body image, grief and loss, emotion regulation, trauma, relationships, anger management, shame and guilt.

Eliza is a registered psychotherapist with extensive experience supporting both young people and adults through a range of mental health challenges. She recognises that across all stages of life, our experiences, relationships, family dynamics, play a powerful role in shaping how we see ourselves, others, and the world around us. These experiences can influence our self-worth, the expectations we carry, and the ways we show up. Counselling provides a safe and supportive space to explore these patterns, develop resilience, and gain deeper self-awareness. Eliza is passionate about helping clients better understand themselves, their emotions, and their relationships, empowering them to build confidence and move through life with greater clarity and ease.

A core aspect of Eliza’s work involves exploring the beliefs we hold about ourselves and the world, often formed through early experiences and reinforced over time. These beliefs shape our emotions, decisions, and behaviours, sometimes in ways that no longer serve us. By gently uncovering and challenging unhelpful patterns, therapy can create powerful insight and foster meaningful, lasting change. Through this process, she supports clients in developing healthier perspectives, improving emotional regulation, and building more secure and fulfilling connections.

Committed to ongoing professional development, Eliza stays up to date with the latest research and evidence-based practices to ensure she provides the highest quality care. By integrating various therapeutic approaches, she supports clients in creating lasting change and living more fulfilling, authentic lives.
